Liu Wei Liu Wei was born in 1972 in Beijing where he still lives and works. During the last years solo exhibitions such as "Chinese Art Archives and Warehouse", Beijing, "Biz Art", Shanghai, and "Flowers" at Urs Meile Gallery, Lucerne, showed his photographs and paintings. In 2007 he attended group exhibitions such as 9th Biennale d’art contemporain de Lyon, "Thermocline of Art. New Asian Waves", Center for Art and Media, Karlsruhe, and "Passion for Art", Essel Museum, Klosterneuburg. Liu Wei’s photographs will serve as an example in which he presents a new view on a prime motif of Chinese landscape image and philosophy: the cloudy mountain.
